We had a wonderful stay at Cabane Rouge-Gorge - everything was perfect. The treehouse lodge was located in the middle of woods, surrounded by lots of trees, it was so peaceful and quiet. We were met by our host who showed us to the location and around the accommodation once we arrived. The lodge itself was so comfy and cosy and provided everything we needed. The outside space was great, especially the wood fired hot tub was the highlight for us both. Each morning we received a lovely breakfast that was dropped off in a beautiful basket - the yogurts (which I think were homemade) were delicious. It was a perfect stay and I'd highly recommend - we didn't want to leave.

The location is super quiet and calm in the Dordogne countryside but less than 5 minutes drive to a well-stocked supermarket, boulangetie etc. Lovely for country walks and close to river for canoeing.
The swimming pool was not something we were looking for, but after arriving during the unexpected heatwave of mid-June, it was fantastic to cool off from the 35° afternoon heat!
Alain is very helpful, but relaxed and unobtrusive.

A perfect location in the central square of Sarlat. A special place from going through the wooden door at the bottom of the turret, walking up the stone spiral staircase and into the good sized rooms with high ceilings and a gorgeous chandelier. The modern kitchen was very well equipped.
We were met at the property by Niyada who was very friendly and welcoming.
A fantastic location. Large comfortable room with ensuite. Very comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast provided downstairs in the restaurant. Once the windows are shut there was no noise from the busy square below. Host was attentive and helpful.
Lovely little hidden gem of a place - tucked away from the busier parts of Sarlat but only a couple of minute walk away from the old town area. Very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Lovely hosts who were very sympathetic and helpful (even with the language barrier) after my partner fell down their wooden staircase and hurt is hand/finger just after we arrived.

We stayed here as a break from our holiday in Issiegeac as we wanted to visit some of the local chateaus..
The weather was extremely hot, so it was lovely to arrive to a friendly welcome.
Our room was clean with silent air conditioning and electric shutters. We slept better than we had all holiday!
The hotel was quiet with a fabulous pool that we had to ourselves. Breakfast was a light continental was served until 10 am.

Very spacious cabin in a lovely garden setting. It was quiet and yet very central. Luckily it was airconditioned as we stayed during the recent canicule. We slept very well in a generous bed.
Our hostess was very solicitious and helpful. The breakfast was basic -standard continental - with plenty of coffee.
