Beautiful location. Outdoor pool and views were spectacular. There was a bonus kitchen by the pool perfect for eating outside. The owner had a small vegetable patch and gave us vegetables from it and freshly pressed olive oil! The owner was super friendly. Would highly recommend.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
This was a simple apartment in the town center, only 5 min walk from the bus stop. Hiking paths nearby. Own terrace with table and chair, with great views down the valley. Heating kept it warm enough during the winter weather. Separate sitting area. Fridge and micro for self-catering. Enough warm water, even for a bathtub. An opportunity to burn wood in the fireplace, but we did not try it.
Really nice experience, after a nice day in aplujarras we decided last minute to stay overnight. We could check in late and the staff was really nice and helpful. Our room was cozy and had a fireplace (for which you can purchase wood from the owners). The breakfast toast was delicious!
Ideal location at the top of town, especially if getting off the bus. Beautifully appointed apartment. We loved the fireplace, the terrace with mountain view, and the comfortable sofa and bed.
Clean room, nice bathroom, great view, parking spot outside room, fireplace in the room for the winter (even though it was still warm when we were there)
Above all, Lola and Alberto were warm, kind, helpful and very welcoming.
As for the hotel: The lounge upstairs is a great place to sit and read, with a cosy fireplace in the evening. There are lots of good restaurants in Capileira, but it was great to be able to have a coffee or prepare a snack in the hotel - it made the stay very home-like.
Definitely a place to return to.
Wonderful setting in best of 3 Poqueira Gorge villages. Perfect for walks, convenient for the village. Charming house with Christmas decorations, great kitchen, attractive fireplace, hot showers, comfy bed. WIFI works fine and there was wine and beer waiting for us - a treat as our flight got in too late to buy any.
The relaxed vibe in the house. The silence is golden, and as soon as you step into the house you feel relaxed. The fireplace is a big contributor. Everything you need is in the house; it's fully equipped. It is a pity we had to leave at some moment...
We used it as a starting point to hike up the Mulhacén.
Contact with the owner was totally online, but it worked very, very well.
