The cabin was very nice and clean, amenities provided were great. Fireplace was superb and was very handy in the winter night. Bathroom was great, especially the two showerheads.

We had booked Amaroo Lodge, but because the air conditioning system was not operating, we were moved to Hunter Valley Lodge. This house was quite big and accommodated our group of 5 guests in 3 self-contained bedrooms.
The location was good, and the setting the house sat within was lovely - the golf course, restaurant, bistro/cafe. There were other facilities too. We only used the bistro/ cafe for our morning coffees. It would be nice to use the other facilities were we to return.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

We loved the quiet location. We felt like the only ones there, since the cabins were well spaced.

Very cosy and well appointed with all the mod cons.
The bedding configuration I requested by phone to hotel directly and again by email to booking.com was not given in 2 out of the 3 cabins. But on arrival the young man on reception was very obliging and managed to change two of the three rooms and upgrade us for no extra cost to meet our original request. Lucky they weren't booked out!
It was a great experience staying here. Lots of space, very few cottages, and an amazing atmosphere. The hotel manager was nice and sweet. She left some cheese in the fridge, offered a bottle of rose, and made sure we had a ready to go fireplace with some extra wood to keep the cabin warm for 2 nights.
We definitely have to come back!
The location is stunning and super private. The property is well maintained and the retreats are new, clean and beautifully styled. The views are next to none. The on-site pantry is very convenient! Although had room service be on offer, it would have been exceptional. Even with a basic, limited menu. The fire pit in the winter is divine. The best part is the complimentary shuttle to and from Bimbadgen Celar door for tastings, wood fired pizza or Esca fine dining restaurant.
The cabin was private and cosy with an open fireplace and a complimentary bottle of wine. We did wine tasting on site and had dinner in the restaurant. The owner (Darryl) was very hospitable and even let us pick a few herbs from the garden. We went for a run around the property on the final morning at sunset which was amazing as there were kangaroo's along the entire trail.
Our villa was perfect for my family of 5, plenty of room, very comfy and a well earned treat for the family. The gas fireplace was a lovely addition, especially being in the middle of winter. We enjoyed our bistro meal on both nights - very convenient not having to drive anywhere. After a big dinner, we walked back to our villa, and it was around 10mins and uphill. Another night we caught the shuttle van, which was great! Good location, within a 5 min drive from Hunter Valley Gardens for the kids.
Danielle and Declan were fabulous hosts.
The cabins were full of everything we needed to make the stay comfortable; sufficient towels, extra blankets, electric blankets, bread, bacon, eggs, cereal, milk, spreads, coffee pos machine, soap, shampoo, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment, cleaning supplies etc .
Plenty of firewood for the indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit.
Wines were amazing, and the stories that went with them were even better!
Loved it! Though a smallish cabin, the 3 bedroom cabin had plenty of room for us to all spread out and have some quiet space. Loved the fireplace room with the big couch. We also liked the distance between cabins -- very peaceful. Would stay there again.
Large spacious cabin with outside deck. Had a lovely meal at the Bistro and the shuttle service back to the cabin was great. Cabin was in a very peaceful bush setting. Extremely comfortable bed.
