Great communication from the host in the run up to the booking. The property was very spacious and meticulously clean. The kitchen was well stocked and felt newly renovated. The lounge was very comfortable and the bedrooms were cosy with lots of blankets and pillows. We were out of the property for work most of the time but I would have loved to use the enormous garden and balcony BBQ

We provided our own tucker. We expected this as it enabled us to meet our nourishment and refreshment needs. This was not a negative thing as the location had all the features of a private home i.e a jacuzzi and sauna bath. 4 Bedrooms had ensuite facilities there was also a bedroom with two bunk beds.

Federation Gardens & Possums Hideaway, hotel in Katoomba

Set amongst 8 acres of tree-lined lawns and gardens, guests at these self-contained cottages have access to a tennis court and heated indoor swimming pool.

Great for families, lots of activities to keep the kids occupied and being surrounded by the beautiful nature. Only a short 4 minute drive to a local bistro to eat which was also convenient. The rooms are very clean & cosy, loved the fireplace which kept the whole 2 bedroom nice and warm. We toasted marshmallows and made use of the pool! Honestly a great 10/10. Highly recommend and also very affordable!

Looking for a cabin?
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

This is a budget motel. Location - close to a lot of things. Space for both room and toilet - we had enough room for the three of us Facilities - microwave, fridge, wall mounted TV that you can adjust the angle, cabinetry, kettle, coffee-tea-sugar sachets, towels, efficient heating. Parking - plenty of spaces available. Cleanliness - our room appeared old and dated but it was reasonably tidy. The bins were collected everyday.

The location was good as there were many restaurants and cafes nearby. the room was clean but the bathroom was a big disappointment. There was no soap dispenser in the shower and the shower doors would not shut properly. Also the TV was not working properly.

Not luxurious but everything we needed for a short stay in Katoomba. Comfy and clean, lovely big guest kitchen and sitting area. Lots of info available about local activities. Friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location with 2 supermarkets around the corner, plenty of nearby places to eat out, and a free shuttle bus stop just across the road. And excellent value for money!

Jilea has tried to create a relaxing environment different to a motel which she has achieved. The colours and textiles are wonderful. Loved the older wooden cabinets and the heated throw blanket. There was always something to catch my eye so enjoyed that immensely. Bedroom is large so heaps of space for bags. Nice outdoor space to relax in. Bathroom is large. Jilea was engaging in her communications.

The motel was close to town. We walked to the shops and cafes although it is hilly. There is a bus stop outside the door and you can pick up a shuttle bus to take you down to the 3 sisters and walks at Echo Point. The room was clean and large enough. Staff were very friendly.

This establishment was very good for a vacation because it is really close to the hiking points. There was a lot of space and the chalet side had its charm. The free pancakes were very welcome.
