Heritage Lodge, hotel in Cape Tribulation

Located in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, Heritage Lodge offers air-conditioned cabins with private balcony and outdoor seating.

A true tropical north experience.. no WiFi, ( only in resturant) but I was ok with that, set in the most beautiful rainforest, thick and lush and the creek swimming was the icing on my cake..I was so in love with the crystal clear creek. I was in heaven. Free breaky to start the day was fantastic too.. rooms were great, your not really in them too much, more to just sleep as there is so much to see up in Cape Tribulation but was really impressed at how they blend into the forest seamlessly.

Wonderful stay. Greg cooked us a dinner which made me re-think if I was in my granny’s house. Extraordinary location. Greg has everything you need. Pool table, interesting stories, cold beers and delicious food. Absolutely intend to go back someday. Energy comes from solar and batteries, fully renewable. It is a place I’d fully recommend 10/10 stay for all ages and interests.

Looking for a cabin?
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. I stayed in the St Crispin cabin and it was excellent. Very comfortable bed and good shower. But the best thing to as the proximity to the beach and hearing the waves at night. Slept so well! Tip - book a table at the restaurant for dinner. It fills up quickly with reserved signs.

Off grid luxurious beach hut with bbq and basic cooking facilities. Solar power, rainwater fed, 30 seconds from beach. Nice bar and fish & chips restaurant opposite. Extremely quiet except for weather, waves and wildlife. Magical place, very weather dependent. Great for beach combing and relaxing.

A great, secluded location at the start of the Bloomfield Track in the Daintree Rainforest very close to a private beach. Our cabin was very comfortable with shutters, flywire screens, a ceiling fan and aircon. Compact adequate bathroom with rainforest views. Nice little verandah for having breakfast. The open air restaurant was a delight to experience dining in the forest.
