At Hostel Sui Kyoto the rooms are fitted with bed linen and towels. Everything! This hostel was probably the best hostel me and my partner have stayed at our entire lives. The level of cleanliness, incredible interior design, amazing sense of privacy, and great common areas all contributed to this feeling. We have never seen such an intelligently designed hostel before. I couldn't recommend it more, if ever there was a 10/10 hostel, this is it!

The staff were absolutely lovely and kind, the snack area was amazing with great volume and variety, lots of places to sit and good wifi. The bathrooms had the nicest amenities from any place I stayed in while in Japan and the Onsen was very well done. The location was phenomenal and the price was unreal.

The location right in the center next to Kyoto station was really convenient. I booked a japanese-style which was a really great experience. Bathroom was spacey with a bathtub and a modern toilet with bidet. Everything was really clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. I also really liked the public bath in the basement. I really recommend staying here when visiting Kyoto.
Our room was nice and spacious, the beds were a good size, and the bathroom was well equipped. My favourite was the very comfortable pyjamas that I ended up buying a set of my own from the hotel. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Staff was nice and friendly. Location was great, close to bus stops and train stations. They also had washing machines & vending machines so it was so convenient. We loved everything!
Very stylish hotel with cozy and comfortable traditional Japanese style rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was very convenient, we explored different areas of Kyoto on foot and public transport. It wasn't cheap, but would definitely love to stay here again.
Safe and cosy hostel, shared room with privacy curtains around bunk beds. Downstairs common area is really lovely and nice place to cook a simple meal, chill out and do some work. Chilo and Nico the Pomeranians were so friendly and amazingly fluffy, the owner was happy to let them come and meet us whenever we were there. Good location close to bus stops and Nijo station, would like to come stay again!
Excellent location. Convenient for Shinkansen, subway, trains, buses, shopping centres. Friendly staff. Room was ok size - most Japanese hotel rooms are small so this triple room was fine for us.
We felt very privileged to be able to stay in this beautiful, traditional Japanese house. The house is conveniently located but far enough away from the very busy tourist areas that it was quiet at night and offered the chance to explore some traditional streets without all the crowds. The house is comfortable and well-equipped and Akemi was a very friendly and helpful host who provided lots of information and recommendations both before and during our stay.

We had a fantastic stay in this traditional Japanese Ryokan! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was large and the futons were super comfortable. Both the room and shared bathrooms were spotless, and a peaceful place to stay after a long day sightseeing in Kyoto. Only a short walk from Kyoto station it was very convenient and we would not hesitate to stay here again next time!
