Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.

A very friendly and hassle free stay! Great breakfast and a beautiful peaceful place to awaken to. Loved the shower water pressure - you could almost shear a sheep with it!

A lovely studio in a convenient location, close to Abel Tasman National Park and excellent value for money. The walk in wardrobe was an unexpected bonus and we had access to the shared pool. Owner was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Fantastic value for money. Homemade cookies on arrival are delicious!! Friendly host. Great facilities, everything has been really thought through from cutlery to salt & olive oil etc. Kitchen appliances are very good to cook your own meals. Very very clean. Great shower! Lovely outside area to sit in the evening in the garden. Convenient location on the edge of the Abel Tasman National Park. There is also a great path walk alongside the beach to the Saltwater Baths.

Staff and guests were friendly, plus I liked that reception stayed open late, which made it convenient for checking in if running late. I loved the free breakfast, fresh milk, fresh eggs and fresh fruit from the gardens. The environment was clean and peaceful, and location was perfect for those who want to explore the Abel Tasman national park, but also wanted to be closer to shops etc.

Convenient (we were overnighting before joining Wilsons Abel Tasman Tours which is just down the road). Pet friendly (we really appreciated this as we were dropping our dog the next day to Four Foot Lodge which was also nearby before joining Wilsons). The property was well laid out, quiet and has everything we needed.

We stayed in a room where the toilet seat was a cheap one and kept slipping off the bowl. Told staff about it but if they fixed it they must not have done it very well because it was still doing they same thing. They had an upstairs rooms. Unfortunately if your going to have upstair rooms they should be well sound proof as we were kept up with heavy foot steps.
