Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
Location is convenient. Walking distance from station. Staffs are efficient and friendly. Check in and out was smooth. Room is clean and maintained. Near to restaurants and shops with short distance walk from the main shopping district.
The stuff is really kind! I had some troubles because of the weather and they immediately helped me and solved my problems! The sleeping area is also really nice, it doesn't feel like a capsule hotel.
It's my favourite hostel in Japan so far! It is small but cozy. The Japanese futons are nice. The kitchen has everything that you could need. The sleeping cabins are very big! Kosei, the host is friendly and helpful. Staying here feels more like living with your friends rather than staying in a hostel with strangers. A convenience store is right behind it and the train station and the supermarket are just 10 min by foot. I would definitely come back!
Hotel os very near to station. Its not exactly capsule hotel, because its small room, which is actually better. They give you pijama and amenities. There are small wardrobe, TV in the room. Also there are free tea on first floor. The bathroom is on another floor, but its amazing. Its very clean, warm, many hair dryers and mirrors, lotions for body. WC is on the same floor.
Amazing location, and very value-for-money considering you get a whole room when it’s actually a capsule hotel. I love the items available in women’s shower room too, like the hair styling tools.
I liked how the size of the capsule is actually a little bigger than the average size of a capsule hotel room. In addition, the closet was very convenient.
The location was also extremely convenient. It's super close to the station, and there's a lovely cafe just on the corner.
Easy parking, spacious room, comfortable latex pillows, good mixed Japanese and western breakfast, kids friendly (free toys to take), very helpful staff, convenient location
The owner and his wife were very friendly. They let us read all their manga and even lent us their bicycles, which allowed us to see all kinds of different thing in Shizuoka.
The place had a very relaxing traditional japanese feeling, which we really enjoyed.
They let us use all the facilities like the kitchen and fridge, so we could have even cooked our own dinner.
Location was great as well, since we had the bicycles, the beach wasn't far.
All that for a very cheap price.
I can only recommend staying here if you are in Shizuoka!!!
The place was very clean and very convenient.
The room was big for a capsule hotel !
