The bigger capsule is very nice and looks cool. The eating area seemed nice. Kept dark and quiet, which I appreciated. Also love the area.. easy access to many things

Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
First time in a capsule hotel, it was spacious enough, I'm 6' 2" so my feet were close to the exit but it wasn't uncomfortable, A little warm in the summer so either sleep bare or have a really thin blanket.
It's close to the station and has 2 shopping complexes in close proximity. Vending machines were awesome and the bath/spa were awesome.
Bathroom was clean and the prepared towels and clothing were perfect.
Manga and massage area were great just that the manga were all in japanese.
Very funky new renovation in warehouse style, friendly staff, delicious breakfast buffet and peaceful gazing across river at the fisherpeople, airport and lights of Tokyo in the background. And just a few minutes taxi or shuttle from Haneda airport (don’t bother booking private taxi - taxi from terminal much cheaper and shuttle bus back from hotel easy)
Literally an old style budget hotel from the 90s? Everything works and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's not a modern new hotel and has a few scuffs around the edges, but has lots of character.
Rex-Inn is a male capsule hotel, about 5 minutes on foot from central Kawasaki and the station. It mainly caters to locals, and less so to tourists. This is noticeable with little English and no tourism information at hand at all, they won't hold your luggage for free either.
That said, it is a very cost-effective way of staying central. The shared bath and sauna are very enjoyable. WiFi works fine and staff will help you as much as possible.
Beautiful private design, with traditional Japanese decoration in the lobby I truly thought I was staying in an art museum. All inclusive tea, coffee, beer, and sake (being my personal favorite) included, along with a complimentary breakfast of onigiri and miso soup, extremely friendly and helpful staff, stayed only a night due to a layover but more then worth it, included traditional Japanese pajama set was a nice touch truly everything you need besides your own personal cloths, truly a flight above any ordinary hotel.
Location... nearby train station to Haneda airport
Room ... very clean on 1st floor and comfortable (i don't like stairs 😅)
Bed ... very good and warm
Owner... friendly and everything is clear on letter on the table
No restaurant nearby just 1 small convenient store (should have dinner before check-in)
The best thing is cheap price, with decent quality. Very close to Haneda Airport. The shuttle is very convenient and run quite frequently. I used it many times to travel between Kawasaki station. Very useful when you got big luggage, since closest walk to train station is 10 mins, and sometimes windy. However, no shuttle from terminal3.
When you walk from JR Kawasaki Station towards La Cittadella, you'll find a capsule hotel tucked away towards the back. Inside, there's a large communal bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna, which I think is more than enough for a solo trip.
Great way to experience a Japanese Capsule hotel. Great value for money, and the communal Onsen was a real experience, and such a great spa. We used this after a late night flight in. Good location across the road from the Kawasaki Train station.
