This was such a unique property—very remote, yet close to the nearby town of Dalen. The kitchen was well equipped and we made dinner (there were four of us staying in the two cabins) and foraged for mushrooms and berries at the hosts encouragement and guidance. We also utilized the breakfast items and our leftovers to make omelettes in the morning before we left. We used the amazing sauna and small pond on the property in the evening. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were great and the sunrise was unbelievable. The mirrored cabins are not to be missed. We spent a LOT of time taking photos!
Bø
Each cottage and apartment at Bø Camping og Hytter has a private patio. Most options include a private bathroom with toilet and shower. Guests have access to shared laundry facilities.
A mini golf course and a beach volleyball field are found on site. The outdoor swimming pool is open during summer. Høyt og Lavt rope adventure park offers an active experience next to Bø Camping. Skiing and hiking are popular activities in the area.
I had a very peaceful and comfortable stay at Bo Camping. I booked a cabin and got liberally an upgrade (bathroom inside the cabin) for free. The comfortable bed and functional equipment makes it easy to have a cosy stay. The check-in via deposited envelope worked perfectly fine and Arnhild (staff) was really nice and hospitable. Thank you!
Hjartdal
The campground consists of 1 separate bedroom, 1 bathroom with free toiletries, a seating area, and a living room. Towels and bed linen are offered in the campground. The property has an outdoor dining area. Absolutely everything! Peaceful, lovely, and pure bliss. 10/10
Seljord
Set within 16 km of Bø Summerland and 41 km of Heddal stave church in Seljord, Hegna Camping offers accommodation with seating area. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the campground's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. Peaceful setting. Cozy cabins. I booked it simply as a place to sleep at as I made my way back to Oslo and it was sufficient.
Skien
Set in Skien, 15 km from Telemark Kanal, koselig liten hytte i Skien features accommodation with access to a garden. This campground offers free private parking and private check-in and check-out.

The apartment had everything and even more, it is very clean and tidy, you can cook in peace, there are all kinds of little things. We enjoyed coffee from the machine, it was good after a long journey. Children were also thought of, toys and games were left behind. What you won't find is TV and internet. But having your own is not a problem, and maybe even an advantage because it is surrounded by wonderful views. There is a children's playground and a lake nearby. We liked everything very much.

Multi-colored cottages in the campsite following the local traditions. Cozy. Clean. A bit small, but still ok for 4 people. Wantet to barbeque and the staff offered individual grill free of charge. Table and benches outside the cottage houses. Close to the town centre.
Nice and spacious rooms, their ‘small’ breakfast served in a picnic basket was a treat
Very friendly staff, beautiful place, such a shame we could not stay for longer! Will definitely want to come back and go on the lake. You can use boats and kayaks for free. Great for families. There are different options: cabins, glamping, tent space and place for campervans.Definitely recommend!
