Packwood Hotel is a very beautiful building with a history. My room was very clean and the bed exceptionally comfortable. The rooms are equipped with a very good eye for detail. Staff was also very helpful and kind.
I booked one of the cabins with the jacuzzi. Perfect after long days of hiking! Comfy beds with plenty of pillows. Full-size refrigerator and adequately supplied kitchen. A picnic table and grill just outside my door which I wasn't prepared to take advantage of. I could definitely see a family or group of friends booking for a week and using as a home base for day hikes. Bonus as it has an AC which seems to be difficult to find in accommodations in the area! Super quiet.
Large, clean room The mattresses were plush, but a little lumpy, we thought. The furnishings were adequate. The location provided easy access to the Ohanapecosh campground and trails. The elk in the morning and evening were a treat. The price seemed competitive. Overall, a comfortable lodging in a good location. We'd stay again.
Location was perfect for us. Right on the edge of town close to shopping and a great coffee stand, and only a few miles away for visiting family and friends camping on the Cowlitz river. Fluffy pillows and clean, clean, clean
The room was very clean and conveniently located near a restaurant. It took less than an hour to go to Mt. Rainier from there.
