Although Caravan Park inspires a different idea in Australia as to what we were met with in Portugal, a little more research on our behalf could have prepared us better for our expectations to be met. This is primarily a residential caravan park more than camping/holiday. We were met by a lovely host Anabela who was more than happy to use Google Translate to walk us through the check-in process and receiving our security passes, as well as finding the bungalow nestled in between the many small streets of the park. The house itself was lovely, matched the pictures exactly and even included some basic kitchen items.
This campsite is situated 200 metres from the beaches of Costa de Caparica and includes a tennis court and restaurant. Some bungalows and caravans come with a kitchenette and free parking.

So close to Lissabon but at the same time enjoying the park-like campsite under pine trees and walking distance from the beach. There are cheap eateries away from the beach or fancy dining on the boardwalk looking at the sunset. A big supermarket has everything you need if you like self-catering.
Enjoy the great outdoors at a campground or rv park. Sleep under the stars in a cabin or bungalow, pre-mounted tent, RV or caravan. Communal kitchens, bathrooms and recreational facilities are available, and most campsites will have a reception desk.
We booked 2 bungalows for a night and these albeit small were confortable enough. The staff is excellent and very helpful and it has a nice BBQ area (which we didn't use because we only stay for a night). It also has a swimming pool at camping entrance that is good for kids to have fun.
Splendid breakfast (again)! Very comfortable room, great shower, lovely pool and charming staff all help too. This also has to be the handiest place to stay for the amazing beaches of Praia das Bicas and its neighbours. The only thing is, you really do need a car, and given the state of the roads a 4x4 wouldn't come amiss! And if the weather's playing up, don't miss a trip to Sesimbra to eat grilled fish at Tasca do Isaias.
Beautiful location, walking distance to the shops and bakery, very close to the beach as well. The surroundings and nature, very peaceful and the owners also have an amazing restaurant where you get the keys before check in and I recommend eating there because the food and wines are amazing. They also sell frozen meals and deliver to your house so it is very convenient. Thank a lot!
It’s a great standalone house with tasteful decor and very well equipped, just 10 min drive to the ocean/beaches. The house accepts pet and our dog enjoyed chilling in the completely gated garden. It has many areas, including outside terrace table and 2nd living space. Mini mart is located across the street which sells fresh seafood in the morning. We would love to stay again!
We loved this place - serene, homey, stylish and a delicious daily breakfast. It’s also a great jumping off point into some of the national parks loveliest beaches. Great venue for the best of this area of Portugal. We wish we’d stayed longer!
All our expectations were exceeded! This place is a real diamant. Everything was very clean, the staff super friendly and helpful and the outdoor area including the pool is the most relaxing and peaceful place I’ve ever been to.
Quiet in spite of the busy area. The marvelous swimmingpool. Close to beautiful beaches. Nice restaurant(s) friendly hosting family (on both sides of the road 😁)
it's the perfect place if you want to rest for a couple of days. It's near Lisbon, near the beach, amazing restaurants around the place.
