We woke up, had some breakfast and started walking right away. From the hotel, you can spend a good 3-4 hours in the beautiful woods and villages of Nagano. The owners were very helpful pointing us to the best route to Nojiri and giving us guidance on train schedules etc.

Staying at Hostel Saruya was such a pleasure . We stayed in the twin room and it exceeded our expectations. The fit out is so beautifully detailed, earthy tones which complemented the mountain view. The private access to the roof top was also a gorgeous and a great view of Fuji - wonderful to watch the sunrise and sunset. We would love to stay again one day.
Clean, comfortable and everything you could need for 1 night or 1 month! The hammock was a huge hit with the kids. Air conditioning worked very well and the wifi was great. We loved coming home after a day of exploring and relaxing in such a calm and comfortable place. Tonkatsu around the corner was wonderful and friendly, big supermarket (Maxi Mart) about 5 min walk away. We loved the soaps and shampoo provided as well. A nice touch.

If you want to experience the samurai era you need to stay at magome-juku and at Magome Chaya. At sunset and dawn there is no one around and you can experience this only if you sleep in Magome. The dinner was amazing.q
Good location near Kanazawa castle Park! Not too far from the station if you take the bus. Really convenient to have a wash in machine/dryer The bed is comfortable but the pillow are a little too hard. The room space is great. You can turn the AC on and off. If you are lucky with your room you can see the sunset from your window.
The spacious room was very comfortable and featured an incredible view of Tombolo, the natural land bridge during low tide. The drinks and amenities were a lovely surprise and made watching the sunset a very memorable experience.
Feels deserted and time for upgrade
The location is not far from the center, is uphill and was a bit difficult to find the driveway, but it is a nice place with a nice view. The villa is clean, the bathroom has a beautiful view especially at the sunset. BBQ is allowed, rooms are cozy.
