For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
The property is set in the middle of the jungle right in the middle of the wildlife. The trees were full of wild monkeys which we watched from our balcony (at tree level) for hours.
Courteous and always willing to help.
Amazing host. Goes above and beyond.
Arranged jeep safari.
Suggested places to visit and places to eat and shop.
Excellent place to stay if you are looking for budget friendly and excellent quality.
Fabulous property, art everywhere, wildlife in the gardens, spacious room with balcony, great rooftop restaurant. But the best is the owner Adel And his staff who are all so welcoming and friendly. And the rooftop pool is very welcome.
Shukkoor and his family are lovely - they were so kind to us and went above and beyond when my partner was ill. They also arranged transport from Cochi, and helped me get to my safari meeting point. The location is stunning (beautiful sunsets over the mountains), it’s very quiet at night, and the rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need. We are sad to leave and we highly recommend staying here. Thanks again to a very nice, kind and generous family for having us to stay.
Clean room, the owners were welcoming. The staff were very attentive. The breakfast was great. The owner connected us with a local jeep driver who arranged a jeep safari, tickets for the Periyar wildlife park, a Marshall arts show and onward travel to Munnar ( thank you).
Highly recommend this small hotel. Lovely spacious rooms in a great location on edge of town, close to wildlife park and variety of restaurants. Staff were super helpful- had booked us various safari activities within half an hour of arriving - friendly and efficient. Would stay again.
Host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. On arrival he sorted us front row seats to that nights cultural show, booked an all day safari the following day and sorted out a laundry service so our clothes were clean the following night after safari. The room itself was clean and organised with an immense view of the mountain for sunset on the balcony. The nearby resturants (grandma's cafe) and chilled out vibes of the town made the stay incredibly memorable. Many thanks again for all the help was a pleasure.
So much nature around. We saw more wildlife at the hotel than the safari and boat ride at the reserve. We spent so much time looking at the Malabar squirrels. We also saw some Nilgiri Langurs by the pool. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Walking distance from the market. Breakfast was also great! Also very impressive artwork all around the property.
Lovely place, beautiful location, and the family who run it could not have been kinder or more helpful...they organised a great jeep safari and a brilliant driver to take us onto Aleppey. We also loved the hammock on the rooftop! Highly recommend.
