Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
This is a stunning little house in a quiet location overlooking the sea. The interiors are really beautiful, the kitchen is well equipped and the bed is comfortable. We loved the hot tub and sat on the balcony watching the geese flying past at sunset. There are lovely little touches such as bath ropes and slippers. The hosts are accommodating and generous. We would love to return soon!
A lovely secluded location on an island with lots of native forest and wildlife. Having both a microwave and fridge in the room is good. Nice area outside with chairs and tables too.
The building was very attractive and inside had good character too. Close to the old town, just a short walk and sitting on our verandah in the evenings was perfect way to end the day.
A vigorous walk from Porvoo takes you across to series of wooden bridges to the peaceful haven if Sikosaari. Marina makes guests immediately welcome and the surrounding fields, marshes and forest abound with wildlife. It is worth paying extra for breakfast. Been here before and will come again for a perfect local holiday (as we live in Helsinki).
