We had booked to stay in another hotel close by but, when we checked in, we discovered it had bed bugs. We were horrified, stressed and desperately needed to find somewhere else to stay. Thankfully, The Blue Gecko came to our rescue! The hotel only had availability on booking.com for one night but we booked it nonetheless. When we arrived, the front of house staff were so helpful and the owner even promised us he would find us a room for the following night, despite the fact they were almost fully booked. Not only did he charge us a discounted rate but the staff actually moved a bed from upstairs in the villa to ensure we could all stay together. Despite all of this hassle, they charged us nothing extra and made us feel so welcome. The property itself is beautiful and a stones throw from the beach. To top things off, they had the best peanut butter ice cream we have ever tried. If you are going to Koh Lanta, this is without a doubt where you should stay.

Brand new, very big and nice villas, very beautiful surroundings, great care for everything you may need - from transfers to pier, renting scooter to some local recommendations and massage. The owners Jackie and Sam are great and always around if you need something but they have great story with Thailand. Food in the restaurant is better than what you can get around, really recommend the Masaman curry meatball appetizer - great mix of European and Thai taste. Also the great atmosphere for a dinner on the beach.

The Lazy Lodge, as the name says, is a place to relax and be lazy in front of the beach. The bungalows are very beautiful, every detail is curated, very clean and spacious. Breakfast is included, and it's amazing, high-quality food and a more than reasonable amount. The beach is all organised with pillows and beds in front of the sea, bear in mind there are many big rocks in front of the resort however you can swim further and enjoy a nice peaceful swimming or you can walk 5 minutes and find a spot without many rocks. The food of the restaurant is also very nice, sometimes we had dinner in the resort and sometimes we tried different restaurants and bars along the beach. As mentioned in other reviews, sometimes the bars on the beach have parties, and you can hear some loud music in the bungalows, but it doesn't bother us at all. First, our bungalow was garden view, so we couldn't hear anything once the doors were closed. Second, we enjoyed the music, and third, they also provided earplugs in the room, so they were very prepared. Bungalows have air-conditioning as well. Staff is incredible, and everyone is extremely smiley and helpful. We really enjoyed every moment of our stay. The sunset from this place was spectacular. The Bungalows were very close to the beach, everything was clean all the time and the staff was absolutely awesome, I forgot my kindle there and they sent it by speedboat to my hotel in phi phi. The most pleasant, modern looking accomodation, clean, spotless , comfy bed. Mr Yim very friendly helpful and makes sure that all his guests are taken care of. He was there to welcome me and made sure that I was settling in okay, showed me where to find shops and restaurants around the area, he even drove me to Old town at a reasonable fee and waited for me to shop around. He bought us treats for breakfast when I opened the door in the morning there were outside my room. I felt very special . I highly recommend this place. There's free coffee in the rooms, free water. Good value for money as well. It is close to the beach, in a quiet area. I will return when I visit Thailand again.
