Very comfortable and spacious. Velas is an amazing place.

Guests can enjoy a meal on an outdoor dining area while overlooking the sea views. The property offers mountain views. We absolutely loved our entire stay at Retiro Atlantico! The yurts are quite spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms are a few steps away and have everything you may want/need, all while being surrounded by nature. We took advantage of and loved the communal kitchen, and appreciated the daily breakfasts. Natacha and Hugo were great hosts, providing suggestions and tips. We hope to be back one day!

Great place to spend time on Sao Jorge Magnolia has wonderful staff that looked after all of our needs while on the island. The property is exceptional and the room we had with the hot tub overlooking the ocean was incredibly beautiful. Nice touch with the sparkling wine on my birthday Thank you will highly recommend and hope to return once day.

Micro-ondas, frigobar e fogão também são oferecidos, bem como chaleira e cafeteira. Leodora was very nice and allowed us an early check in. The apartment was clean and tidy. Lots of linens provided. The air conditioning was great. Unit was spacious and specifically our bathroom was renovated (we chose based on the photos). Amenities were good (kitchen utensils and cookware, washer, drying clothes rack, hair dryer). We were also given a nice late check-out. You can walk to city center along sidewalk down hill it takes about 20 minutes. But maybe take a taxi uphill !

The check-in was super easy, it was very clean (it was cleaned every day) and the rooms were nice. The owner and staff were very friendly and gave us plenty of tips for exploring the island. The common area with the kitchen was very well equipped, there was even a crêpes maker and an orange press and an additional outdoor kitchen. There is enough space for the guests with different tables inside and outside. The outdoor area is also very beautiful, beautiful plants and a direct view of the sea. Everything was perfect and we would love to come back one day.

Also the breakfast included amazing homemade breads, jams, yogurt, and juices and eggs from their own fruit trees and chickens - not to mention freshly made waffles - so delicious! The staff were so kind and helpful, and it was only a 6-minute walk into the little town where there were a couple restaurants and a small grocery store. We can’t wait to return!
