Not only is the area not crowded with travelers, the ownership here is amazing! It’s budget room so don’t expect luxury, but for budget rooms it is everything you could need and more. Very comfortable bed, very nice staff, Jai the owner was helpful with everything. Did I mention there’s hardly anybody here? It’s peak season and you’ll have the beach to yourself or a few others— amazing stay and amazing island!

A recently renovated apartment, Romblon Transient House offers accommodation in Romblon. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. The apartment was on the second floor, with a fully equipped kitchen, we talked in advance for a scooter. When we arrived, a new scooter was parked in front. A very large terrace, on top of the terrace a net has been set up to keep shade.

Room was big and spacious, and the view from the terrace is really nice. The host, Lilli, is such a friendly person which will help you with all the inquiries. She also cooks an excellent food, with home made bread!!!

Rose was super friendly and helpful - she organised a scooter for me and helped figure out ferries to get me to my next destination, gave advice on which beaches to visit and lent me a snorkel and mask. The place is right next to a beautiful beach which is great for swimming and snorkeling. Super peaceful and relaxing.

When we booked this accommodation it seemed almost to good to be true. But the villa surpassed our expectations. Beautifully located on the southern part of Carabao Island overlooking the see and with a view on Boracay. There was plenty of space and everything was very clean and in good working order. The pool was nice especially for sunsets. The spacious terrace was the best place to be, with always a refreshing breeze. Our host Rose is a gem. She picked us up from San Jose and did eveything to make our stay unforgetable.

Good AC, WiFi, complementary snacks and fruit 🍔🍔🍔 Also, check out her restaurant Smokh, If you are craving a great American style cheeseburger made from genuine USDA American beef, served on brioche bun with homemade pickles and Heinz ketchup! 🍔🍔🍔 It’s unmatched in Philippines imho.

Located on Carabao Island, just 10 km from Boracay, The Beach House offers a luxury boutique accommodation with its own private beach area. A variety of coral reefs, colourful fishes and crystal clear water are directly in front of the property. It houses a beach bar and a restaurant with panoramic views of the sea. Wonderful! We booked 1 night in this really cool beach bungalow and it was so good that we extended our stay for 3 days (and got a good discount). It was right on the beach and felt like we were on our very own desert island, waking up to the sound of the waves and taking a swim in the fantastically clear warm water before breakfast. We didn’t see any tourists at all on the beach, just some locals taking a walk and kids playing in the water, it was surreal after staying in Boracay with all the crowds and noise! The staff gave us snorkeling stuff for free and David the owner led us out to see the incredible variety of coral, which started just a short distance from the beach and though we saw many varieties of fish, it seems that there were many more before the pandemic, but the locals have decimated the stock as there was no work for them. But the starfish were prolific, we counted 10 different colors including some really bright blue ones, but be careful of the sea urchins, they’re only on the coral, so don’t swim over the coral at low tide. Ely took us for an island tour in this amazing 6 seater off road UTV, it could go anywhere and we took off road tracks to cliff jumps, deserted beaches and caves, this is a must, which you would never find if you hired motorcycles. Now the restaurant on this fantastic balcony (or you can eat at the beach bar). The food my god was soo good, Malou and the other staff were such good cooks, with both local and foreign dishes, don’t miss the yummy spicy spareribs, the stuffed baby squid, the curry, the adobo and of course the seafood; simply delicious! We wanted to stay longer and wished we had come here first and not bothered with Boracay, so sad to leave and will defiantly be back and skip the Boracay stay!
