We have been welcomed by the wonderful host Lucrecia (Richar’s wife) alongside with her daughter. The rooms are really nice and clean and the view is just incredible. For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Thank you to the family, highly recommended for a unique experience. Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)

We have been super lucky and were here during a kind of Carnaval (18th February) and participated to a huge day-party with all the locals. Best memory in Peru.

The inn can conveniently provide information at the reception to help guests to get around the area. Vidal and Sonia were great hosts! They picked us up at the port by motorbike, very nice trip around the island. The room has its own bathroom and toilet with hot water and they provide a heater for the night so we were not cold at all. They prepared lunch (quinoa soup and trout with rice and vegetables), diner (chicken with rice and vegetables) and breakfast (fried egg and pancakes) for 20 soles extra per meal per person which is extremely fair given that these were one of the best meals we had during our trip, home made by Sonia with fresh organic products.

Guests at the hotel can enjoy an American breakfast. The accommodation is located in the community on the opposite side respect where the boat from Puno arrives. That's permitted to be the only tourist in this side of the island during our stay. You have to consider 20 soles per person to reach the accommodation from the pier with a motorbike. Otherwise you need at least 1 hour and 30 minute of walk. The host family is amazing, Justa prepared delicious meals and joined us for a while for the walking up to pacha mama on the top of the island. Amantanì is magic, it is a rural island surrounded by the lake. Stunning scenario where to relax and take great pictures. The night sky from the house is unforgettable.

Located in Ocosuyo, Amantani Lodge is located on the island of Amantani, incatiana community. All the rooms have balcony that overlooks the lake. Amanti Lodge features a restaurant, an American breakfast is served every morning. I can't recommend this stay more highly! Just a wonderful family and stay. We had some issues with our transport and Henri & Mariluz were quick to send one of their sons to pick us up. We so enjoyed chatting with everyone in the family and eating Mariluz's delicious cooking. The property itself is just beautiful. And despite the cold temps at night, they kept us cozy with lots of warm blankets and hot water bottles for our feet.

Guests can make use of the picnic area or the terrace, or enjoy views of the river and garden. Our visit to Isla Amantani and our stay at Chaska Wasi with Oswaldo, Beatriz, and Jessi was the highlight of our Peru trip (yes, better than Macchu Picchu). Staying on the island at this location, gave us the peace and tranquility that we craved. The view from our room and the courtyard was absoluely breathtaking. We watched the sky and lake change throughout the day to various shades of blue. We watched lightning over the water at night. From this location, we had easy, quick access to the plaza. We were able to hike to pachamama and pachatata. This part of the island had gorgeous views and was very quiet. It was also conviently close to the boat ramp for drop off and pick up. Walking on the island and observing farming practices, happy sheep, and beautiful stone walls filled us with joy. The meals here were delicious and the portions tremendous. The family provided us with the perfect amount of attention and hospitality. We were able to interact with them and ask questions but were free to do our own thing. The experience felt VERY authentic and genuine (not fake or forced). We cannot recommend this accomodation enough. You must visit :)

Bright and spacious, rooms at Amantani Island afford shared bathroom facilities. Oswaldo and his family were very nice and took care of all our wishes, the food was fresh and healthy and as well delicious, because of the comfy blankets the night was not cold at all
