We have been welcomed by the wonderful host Lucrecia (Richar’s wife) alongside with her daughter. The rooms are really nice and clean and the view is just incredible. For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Thank you to the family, highly recommended for a unique experience. Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)

We have been super lucky and were here during a kind of Carnaval (18th February) and participated to a huge day-party with all the locals. Best memory in Peru.

The inn can conveniently provide information at the reception to help guests to get around the area. The room was comfortable and well decorated, everything was spotless and I slept very well. Vidal and Sonia were the most fantastic hosts. The highlight for me was getting to know them and their home. Vidal helped with mototaxi transfers to the other side of the island and Sonia cooked some glorious meals. They also brought a portable heater in case I got cold. Amazing views. Truly a wonderful place - I would highly recommend.

Guests at the hotel can enjoy an American breakfast. The accommodation is located in the community on the opposite side respect where the boat from Puno arrives. That's permitted to be the only tourist in this side of the island during our stay. You have to consider 20 soles per person to reach the accommodation from the pier with a motorbike. Otherwise you need at least 1 hour and 30 minute of walk. The host family is amazing, Justa prepared delicious meals and joined us for a while for the walking up to pacha mama on the top of the island. Amantanì is magic, it is a rural island surrounded by the lake. Stunning scenario where to relax and take great pictures. The night sky from the house is unforgettable.

Located in Ocosuyo, Amantani Lodge is located on the island of Amantani, incatiana community. All the rooms have balcony that overlooks the lake. Amanti Lodge features a restaurant, an American breakfast is served every morning. Henry and Mariluz are amazing hosts. Their house is very confortable with a nice view of the lake. The food is delicious and is cooked by the family using vegetables harvested from their own garden. On June is the best time of the year to see the stars and the Milky Way. The view is marvellous!! If you arrive by your own, ask for the guest house of Henry at the Inkatiana comunity because google maps does not work in the island. Also is good to know that the ferries to the island depart once a day at 7:30am from Puno's main port.

Our visit to Isla Amantani and our stay at Chaska Wasi with Oswaldo, Beatriz, and Jessi was the highlight of our Peru trip (yes, better than Macchu Picchu). Staying on the island at this location, gave us the peace and tranquility that we craved. The view from our room and the courtyard was absoluely breathtaking. We watched the sky and lake change throughout the day to various shades of blue. We watched lightning over the water at night. From this location, we had easy, quick access to the plaza. We were able to hike to pachamama and pachatata. This part of the island had gorgeous views and was very quiet. It was also conviently close to the boat ramp for drop off and pick up. Walking on the island and observing farming practices, happy sheep, and beautiful stone walls filled us with joy. The meals here were delicious and the portions tremendous. The family provided us with the perfect amount of attention and hospitality. We were able to interact with them and ask questions but were free to do our own thing. The experience felt VERY authentic and genuine (not fake or forced). We cannot recommend this accomodation enough. You must visit :)

Thank you for hosting us! It is a wonderful place to relax and go for walks in the amazing nature with a beautiful view over the lake. It is so peaceful and we loved beeing here to calm down. We enjoyed our stay and we would definitively recommend this place.
