I had an amazing stay at Hotel Durbar Side. The small hotel opened only 2-3 months ago. Everything is new and extremely clean. The beds were comfortable with spotless white sheets - a perfect place to rest after trekking. The hotel is perfectly located - All the main sights and lots of restaurants in walking distance. The atmosphere at the hotel is very relaxed, everyone’s smiling and it is quiet at night (no bells from the temple at 5am or noisy guests, just some dogs outside like everywhere). Breakfast is included (coffee/tea, pancake, toasted bread, boiled egg, jam & butter, some fruit) and a laundry service is available. The owner Sulav is very helpful and generous - he drove me to the hospital and we had a great time drinking tea and chatting about Nepalese history & politics.
