Guests can enjoy the on-site self-service bar and play foosball in the colonial 'sala'. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Especially the lady who was working in the mornings. She even called a doctor for me to tend to my volcano boarding wound! They also let us use the facilities of the hostel after we had checked out and came back from a volcano hike. Excellent service! Breakfast was also delicious and we loved the star fruit tree we could help ourselves to! One of the best hostels in our whole 6 month trip!

The room was so clean and they gave us fresh towels and clean bedding each night (we stayed for 2 nights). The shared bathroom felt more like a private one and was only shared with one other room. The location was great with a short walk to the center and lots of restaurants close by. The owners were wonderful and welcoming. We had to leave at 2am for our shuttle and they kept the door open so we could leave easily.

Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and comes with a cable TV and rustic décor. The bathrooms are private and come with shower. The rooms were great in all respects - spacious, comfortable bed, good AC, great bathroom and warm shower. The Victoriana restaurant was fantastic. The menu was international and imaginative and the food was superb. The buffet breakfasts were just ok, but one day they had less people so the breakfast that was served to us by the waiter was fresher, with more choice.
