Lovely hosts and all staff - I woke up early and one of the staff saw me and brought me coffe to my cabaña 😍; If you go to Las Peñitas, don't think twice - and if rooms will be avaiable, book straight away, you will not find anything better in town.

We loved everything about Casa Lula León without exaggeration. The size of our room, the cleanliness, the kitchen, the free coffee in the morning was perfect, and most importantly the owners - Roger and Selena and their 2 cute dogs and a tiny kitten who was in the spotlight while we were there. The Casa is beautiful, the common space where you can relax after a long day of visiting the city has a very nice ambient with lights and hammocks. We had a really great time! The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Friendly, family orientated atmosphere. I loved the Guesthouse type vibes. Super chilled out. Plenty of hammocks and places to eat/chill/whatever. Phenomenal value for money. Had everything you needed re: amenities. Kitchen was great. Carmilo the owner was available on weekends and cooked us crepes for breakfast with a cup of coffee and a dart. He had great local knowledge and was always happy to help out. .

Hostal La Tortuga Booluda, the hostel for the 'tranquilo traveler', is a friendly little hostel 3.5 blocks from the central square in Leon. Guests can enjoy the on-site self-service bar and play foosball in the colonial 'sala'. I loved this place so much I had to come back and stay again. I stayed 2 places in Leon before this and this was by far my favourite in the whole of Central America so far. It literally had everything you could want. A huge shelf of books, a small gym with weights and equipment on the terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, pool table and plenty of chill space and a swimming pool. The free breakfast everyday is great with three different options available. Someone was always cleaning. The best part of the stay was the staff though. They were so friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms were large and very comfortable with great airco. The staff were always very friendly, polite and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again 😃 Great restaurant too!
