Its small and cosy restaurant is open for breakfast (which is included in the bungalow rate), lunch and dinner. Wide choice of tasty, simple dishes at very modest prices. A big thank you to Iacopo and Diego who made my holiday on this fantastic island one of the most beautiful memories I will cherish forever thanks to their great helpfulness and kindness! Real value for (little) money, absolutely recommended!

Placed in a tropical garden with panoramic views of the sea and the mangrove, the Corto Novo Maison d'hôtes-Camping is a multi-conceptual project that encompasses different offers for any class of traveler. Located 5 minutes from Andilana beach, 15 minutes from Mont Passot and 40 minutes from Fascène international airport, it is a meeting place for travelers linked to the sea and adventure. Corto Novo overlooks a mangrove forest between Dzamandzar and Andilana beach opposite Nosy Sakatia that is also 30km from the airport. Our host Jean-Louis and his team were very attentive and served up tasty seafood (and more) as well as the best Caipirinhas and coldest beers we had on our trip. On request, crab was prepared in two ways (Madagascar Sauce, Spicy Wok Butter) for our first night's meal and it was phenomenal and very reasonably priced. The property has a variety of accommodation options ranging from pre-erected tents to a room with an en-suite bathroom and wall-mounted room fan, where we stayed. The shower water was hot and the water pressure strong unlike many other establishments we stayed at on the Nosys (islands). The small swimming pool with ample tree shade offered respite from the afternoon heat and a refreshing way to start the day. As a bonus, there are two well-behaved and friendly house dogs, Gaston and Charlie. Sunsets were stunning since Corto Novo faces due west. No light pollution meant spectacular star-gazing too. You'd think that being so close to the mangroves would result in more mosquitoes, but they were few and far between. Affordable, comfortable and with all the essentials you need, you won't be disappointed with a stay at Corto Novo. We'll be back.

The view from the room is spectacular. I love the fact they serve meals on the balcony of the room, it felt extremely luxurious. They also organized everything we needed, from drivers to tours. I have traveled a lot and stayed in many hotels, I have never felt this very friendly and human welcome before. It was my first time in Nosy Be and I had no plan. From the first text on whatsapp checking when I will arrive, you can tell how warm the owners were. Lynda the manager was an amazing host and spoiled me to be honestl. She planed for me an unforgettable day trip to Nose Iranja, we went to a local event, and of course visited the center. She has also suggested different plans that I wish I had enough time to do. The hotel is in a quiet location and very calm which allows you to hear the waves that come to the stairs of the hotel at night. Very clean and big rooms, and great food, which I didn't even need to go out for it. The staff were also so kind and very warm. They keep checking on me and making sure I don't need anything. The genuine kindness of all the staff really warmed my heart. They have even drove me to the center to do some last minute shopping. They have arranged all my transportation which it took some stress away from me given that I was there for just a weekend. Overall I felt I am among my friends and family, and I don't say that lightly. This is for sure an experience I will never forget. If you want to have ana amazing experience in the island, I highly recommend this hotel, you won't regret it. I have already given the hotel contact to my friends and colleagues. The suite turned out to be a lovely small apartment with a living room, and a separate sleeping area, even had a small kitchen. The workmanship in the suite was extraordinary, the mattress was outstanding, and the views were everything expected from the pictures. I enjoyed getting to know the owners, and Mitch speaks perfect English. I had a wonderful time.
