We spent 4 nights at the Riviera Champasak and we appreciated of course the river view, tha garden but the staff (in particular Mr T.) really makes the difference in terms of customer service. They were so careful to every single detail, always smiling and fast to accomodate any request. They arranged the tour (driver) at the 4000 islands 100$ and the airport transfer to Ubon (Thailand). A very positive feedback also for the restaurant. I really enjoyed the food (local and western). The rooms are basic but the river view is worthed. We also used the bycicles (for free) and we cycled to Champasak centre (around 4km) and they also organized a scooter for 140k kip. Thank you for the great experience. I

Sanga Hostel is set in Pakse, less than 5 minutes' walk from Wat Luang and just 10 minutes' walk from the Kong River. A highlight of the area is the Pakse Golden Buddha, which is situated across the river on a hill, just 4 kilometers from the hostel. The kindness of the staff. The location and the cleanliness. You will have a fen in the room (no AC). The owners are very friendly and the food is very good. Try the Lao Breakfast 03: The fried morning glory with sticky rice was one of the best I ever had. I really highly recommend to stay here if you don't want to go the touristy places like Don Det.

Set in Don Det in the Champasak region, Crazy Gecko Dondet features a balcony and river views. This guest house offers a garden, a terrace, as well as a bar. Free WiFi is included throughout the property. We were initially placed in a three family room upstairs and were given the option to switch to a river view room the next day. However we preferred the bigger room with more privacy and the two hammocks. Very peaceful vibes and the host family was kind and knowledgeable. Not to mention great food I recommend the curry, sandwiches, and lemonade made in-house. Great bang for your buck.
