The photos on the Booking.com site are incredibly appealing and the reality even more so. Note than many reviews mention Tania - as well they should. She checks you in, serves you breakfast, serves you dinner, makes all the preserves and pretty much works a twenty hour day without ever seeming to tire. Unfailingly warm and courteous. While it wasn't our prior intention to eat dinner in the hotel each evening we did and we were so pleased with that decision. The entire ambiance harks back to a time when one checked into a country hotel and stayed there. The room was large and luxurious in a 19th century manner. Ample free parking in the courtyard. We certainly hope to return.

There is a focus on simple, healthy items all made in-house and delicious. The location is 5 minutes off the autostrada, yet it is quiet and feels like a world apart. I will be back.
