The country house features family rooms. SUPER attentive staff. The housekeeper, jenny, made us breakfast, lunch and dinner. She even made to-go lunches that we could enjoy at the beach. Absolutely stunning views from the room and a well located house if you want to do some surfing. I loved that it allowed us to be more in touch with sumba’s cultural offering, I feel that the luxury villas are too secluded; this felt more like staying at a friends house. The house is also organised in a way that encourages you to meet other guests which is nice. The house owner, Julia, was very communicative via phone with recommendations and contact sharing (driver, surf lessons) and we met a few acquaintances of hers on the island. All the animals at the farm house make this an animal-lovers paradise.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed. From arrival until departure, the service was faultless, the quickest room service I have ever experienced anywhere, every single time. The food was exceptional, every meal. The beach is beautiful and raw and I love that there were so many local people enjoying themselves going on with their every day, fishing and children playing in the rock pools. A must stay location. I will be back.

Hars and his Japanese wife are fantastic hosts and organised everything for us including transport to and from the airport , bike hire and three organic meals a day. On top of that we got to learn lots about real organic farming techniques and the special island of Sumba… thanks Hars we will be back.

Our stay at the Sumba Adventure Resort was very good, the people wo werk here are super friendly and try to help you out as much as possible and besides that are very social. Breakfast was included and for a good price you can get dinner at the accomodation aswell wich was very delicious each time. If you want to do some activities it's possible aswell, just ask the staff.

This 3-star bed and breakfast offers private entrance. A great stay at Siska's guesthouse. Comfy bungalow in the midst of a beautiful garden (jungle). Amazing clean sandy beach without any crowds. Delicious home cooked meals for a good price. It felt like we were staying with a family. We were looked after so. well. Also Siska organised airport pick up and drop off as well as the the rent of the motorbike at reasonable prices. Even WiFi has been made available at this remote location. Highly recommended.
