Boasting a privileged location, 300 metres from the gate of Monemvasia’s castle, Malvasia Traditional Hotel offers stone-built units most with views over the sea. A buffet breakfast is served at the breakfast room and terrace of the main building. We were housed in a peaceful nook of the castle, but we were still within easy walking distance of the town square and its many shops and restaurants. The only challenge is navigating the tight streets with our bags because they are either cobblestone or medieval pavement.

The whole of the Monemvasia village was perfect and very picturesque. We tried out the fantastic restaurants and were delighted by the local cuisine and friendly, helpful service. The bars were also great and all had amazing outlooks! Walking around was like a dream and we even had a quick dip where you could access the sea. The local museum was wonderful too. We loved it all!

What we loved most about our stay was: - Enjoying breakfast under an old eucalyptus tree on the castle top, featuring some of the best stragisto yogurt, natural local honey, and bread. - The boat tour offered by Dimitris, the hotel owner (he left us on a beach that can be accessed only by the sea). - The exceptional attention provided for our little dog. This family-owned hotel is incredibly warm and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The location was perfect in order to explore Mystras and the castle. The breakfast was exceptional. Traditional and in very big portions, everything delicious. The stuff was kind and helpful. There is a big grass area with a swing for the kids to play. The view from the room terrace is great. You could close the window shutters completely, which is not always the case. So morning light was kept outside as long as we wanted. Last but not least, the restaurant was a very pleasent surprise. The food was magnicificent! With local dishes, all tasteful and in reasonable prices. The whole experience was on a level I rearly find in Greece.
