Seriously, if you want to have cheap, but comfortable accomodation in Mestia...this is the place. Surely it is not a 5 star hotel, but it is clean, comfortable, the hosts are nice, the location is very good and the views in the area are absolutely stunning.
Breakfast was delicious and versatile. You can agree with the owner when do you want to get your breakfast. The food at the restaurant was also great, affordable and delicious. A lot of options on the menu. Also, the location was amazing, you could easily get to the Martvili Canyon and Martvili City. The rooms were clean, warm, and according to the pictures. The personnel was friendly, helped us with laundry, and taxi.
Excellent location and view from the window. Pleasant staff, they allowed us to check out later. The room and the house are very clean. It was cold, but when we said about it, they gave us a heater.

Caters more for locals but this is a very good hotel. Place is spotless and staff were friendly and accommodating. Very handy location if you are transiting by Marshutka or train.
WOW! This place is just amazing. The hosts are incredible—the most kind, welcoming, and generous people. They took such good care of us and made us feel like family. All the meals we had were hearty and made with love. It’s also the most beautiful location in all of Georgia, absolutely unbeatable. There is brilliant hiking and stunning views. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, and every room has a balcony with a view. It so was hard to leave. We will be back!
This isn’t really a review for Guest House Emzar, as (after a great deal of confusion) I basically ended up staying in Elizabeth’s Guest House, which shares a location with Emzar, and is run by a family member. (See below.) Elizabeth’s Guest House was largely very good; the hostess was kind, my room/bed very comfortable, and the communal bathroom immaculate. It’s a great place to stay to socialise with other travellers as everyone dines together in the dining/drying room.
The location is great with a Svan tower in the back yard. The building is beautiful, my room was very clean. Really good bed linen. The overall family atmosphere makes you think you are visiting your relatives. Breakfasts were like a Georgian feast! The staff is great, especially Tsitso.
Very clean and well located modern guesthouse. The host is lovely and the rooms are tastefully decorated. Location is ideal, being in the centre of Mestia and only a 3 min walk from the bus station.
