Found in an Edwardian building formerly home to the Anchor Line Shipping Company’s headquarters, this city centre aparthotel is inspired by a 1920s ocean liner. With original 1906 features, there are glazed tiles, terrazzo flooring, timber wall-panelling, fireplaces and even the original safes. The staff were super helpful. They even moved rooms for us so my family could all be together. Reception staff were very friendly recommending restaurants and helping me get in my room when my kids locked me out!

So quiet and private, and a great little base to do some exploring of the area. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was beautiful food. The waitresses are so accommodating and sweet. We felt so at home and welcomed - nothing like old fashioned hospitality. The breakfast is amazing - so much to choose from and they cook it for you personally after you order. The room was clean and had a great bed, with a view over the water. I’d love to visit again - everyone was so kind and friendly. A beautiful part of the world and the views of Loch Awe were stunning.

Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch. These charming cottages are purpose-built and have free Wi-Fi. This is a great location and once they are finished with the restoration it will be exceptional! I love the idea of turning a farmstead into varying self catering accommodations. The setting was perfect! The room we stayed in was huge! It was clean, the shower had great water pressure and temperature control. The bed was comfy too. We enjoyed walking around the property. There's a washer and dryer on-site too that appears to be free to use.
