Hotel Colón Plaza is a charming hotel set in a 19th-century building. It is on one of the main avenues in the city, the Acera Recoletos. I travel in Spain for work nearly continuously and have stayed in many hotels over the years. I think this is actually the best I have encountered! The front desk staff was hands down the most friendly, welcoming, and helpful I've ever met. It was a pleasure to interact with them. On top of that, the room was large and very comfortable, the breakfast perfect, and the location 5 minutes walk from the train station. I will stay here again.
