We also felt warmly welcomed by the thoughtful gesture of the "printen" (a must-have local gingerbread) on our beds. :) Our two-bedroom family room (Castle Room) was large, clean, comfortable and had a jaw-dropping view of the fairytale town of Monschau. Located right in the middle of the historic area, we were able to walk all around. We also walked to the shops/supermarket that are about 3 km away, in town. I highly recommend this property. Lovely couple, and a very clean and tidy house. The apartment is exceptional, even though we didnt use the kitchen or lounge, everything was there if we needed it. We only spoke english, and the hosts only spoke German, but this was no problem at all, and they made a real effort to communicate with translator. Loved it.
