Family-run since 1654, Hotel-Gasthof Maria Plain enjoys a quiet location surrounded by meadows and forests, only 250 metres from the pilgrimage church of Maria Plain and a 10-minute drive from Salzburg. Free WiFi is available. Even though we spent only one night and actually 12h, we really liked especially the location and the surrounding. The flowers, view, the green, the peace and the actual building. We are considering to return for a longer stay.

Pleasant, knowledgeable staff, wonderful breakfast, comfortable room with private bath, idyllic country views, several types of sauna and an outdoor pool included in the fee, e-bikes available for rent-- all added up to a top notch experience. I e-biked to a lake and explored the surrounding area on 1 day, and e-biked to Salzburg on a different day. There's a conveniently located bus stop for a bus every 30 min (except Sun) if you prefer public transportation. I found the public bus was similar quality to a US excursion bus and safe late at night. There's a free app that is worth downloading.

The check-in process was seamless. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. The view from the apartment was gorgeous. The location is excellent, being near Wolfgangsee and St. Gilgen.

Perfect for 4 people, a very modern place with amazing view at the Alps. Radio in the bathroom wants everyone now:) Very nice and caring owner. Strongly recommended!

The apartment was big and comfortable for a family of 4 with two small children. New baby crib, high chair, changing table and new baby bath tube. Well equipped and new kitchen. Amazing terrace and view. They were building a pool which will be amazing to have in the summer. We really enjoy our stay, and our walk around the town, and the suggestions of the breakfast at nearby hotel with spa access.
