This is a fantastic place to stay, an exceptional experience. The architecture, history, interior decor, staff, rooms, bar, restaurant and location can't be beat. And the rates were lower than the cookie cutter hotel chains that were along I-25. Can't recommend the Plaza Hotel enough!

It was one of the cheapest rooms in town. Nice quality. All of the other hotel operators recommend this place because of the recent renovations/price. Family members paid a higher price at the Comfort Inn for the pool, and it was closed. They regretted their stay there.

No breakfast but there is a huge parking lot and every room has its own outside door. No lobbies and halls to deal with. So easy to load and unload your car.

Restaurant was outstanding. Bed was comfortable. The thermostat worked, which is always important. The location was sensational. The plaza area is incredible, with all of the historic buildings.

Location, they let us change our date by one day because of an ice storm. Easy, quick, friendly check in. You can pull up right to your room and unload. Super easy to find, near lots of food options. Bed/ linens comfy, steamy shower. Good tv and internet. Fridge. Very sweet check in lady. Indie business instead of a mega-corp. Support small business. :-)

The staff was warm and welcoming. The room we were in was renovated with plenty of linens. Don't let the exterior fool you. It was a super cold night and the staff had turned the room heater on for us in anticipation of our arrival, too. The location was convenient to the highway and to the main street with lots of restaurants, gas stations, shops and a Walmart.
