Osotwa Maasai hostel exceeded my expectations in every way. Firstly, the hosts were so lovely and welcoming, they really made me feel at home. The property was safe and secure, with a locked gate and separate keys for each room where the guests can stay. Inside the house was sparkling clean and decorated with beautiful local art and Maasai ornaments. There was good WiFi and clean water, with a heater if you wanted to take a shower. My room was amazing value for money, with a spacious bed, mosquito net, wardrobe and table for the same price as a shared dorm elsewhere. Breakfast was provided in the morning and I was catered for even with dietary requirements! There is no guest kitchen, but the hosts are happy to assist you with any cooking or boiling water. I would love to see more guests staying at this hostel to support a lovely local family and enjoy a great value experience in Arusha.

Everything was amazing! The house was very clean and very central. Gerald is very nice and welcoming person. He was very helpful explaining how to move around and giving me tips about tanzania. Also cooked very tasty breakfast in the morning! I am very thankful and will definitely stay in this place next time.

Very nice staff, Simon, Rose, the guy at the reception and the cook (I’m sorry I don’t know your names) were absolutely lovely, helpful and always joyful.. Hakuna matata! :) Place was tidy, food was good and the pool clean.. we found this to be a great place to chill for a few days after a long Safari trip. There’s two stores, a pharmacy, liquor store and other small vegetable vendors nearby.

This hostel definitely lived up to the recommendations I'd read . I've had an awesome stay here. Met some incredible fellow travellers from around the world. The staff are just wonderful as is the owner. Loved the washing machine, the kitchen facilities were great too ( just need more knives) , which I believe has already been fed back to the owner.. I'll honestly miss this wonderful place .
