The room is spacious and gets cleaned every day. Top notch. The daily breakfast is tasty and plenty. Staff is friendly and always smiley.

The outside area is a little paradise and it’s well maintained. Pool is super refreshing. Area is quiet and peaceful.
The place is a 8 minute moto taxi ride away from the city and also just like 7-8 minutes away from the airport. It is also safe to walk around even in the night time. Never had any issues as a female solo traveller.

Welfare Agroturismo was part of the São Tomé round trip I have made with my girlfriend. The hotel is small (5 rooms only) and quite remote, but surrounded by beautiful nature. It has a very beautiful garden full of flowers, vanilla, fruits… and there are several options for tours to explore the center of the island (visit of Monte Cafe and Jardim Botanico de Bom Sucesso; hike to Lagoa Amelia; or you just start a hike along the old paths directly from the agroturismo).
The hosts are so lovely and great cooks. Especially the dinners were really great and diverse.
I would definitely come back again!

the owner Jane was fascinating to talk to. she was very passionate about Sao Tome and has spent 30 years I think making the hotel what it is today. the hotel itself was very clean with wonderful gardens.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
The location and stunning surroundings. Well sculpted and maintained gardens. All very idyllic. And the adjacent restaurant (Casa Museu Almada Negreiros) serves a great 4 course lunch. The room was a simple bungalow with private bathroom. We found this to be a good basis to visit the botanical garden and hike up to Lagoa Amelia (the crater lake), to walk to nearby waterfall (Cascata de São Nicolau) and visit the coffee museum in Graça
Location is amazing! Place is very clean,well equipped and cozy. Personal is very helpful and professional. Food is definitely worth a try. It's culinary experience.
