Is was beautiful ans clean. The pooldeck was beautiful als a perfect place to relax. The beds were very comfortable and bathroom very clean and nice.

The warm welcome and communication of the owners helped enormously. The property is in a quiet street with bird life. The apartment was very clean and well appointed for two couples or where you need two rooms and you could cook yourself. There was helpful info about everything. There is a shop next door.

Amazing breakfast (loved the pancakes!) and beautiful views in this historic property with a tranquil atmosphere. The pool area was also very nice, lots of space to chill and great to get an iced coffee or wine/cocktail from the bar brought over. Location wise it's a little drive out of Paramaribo (roads to the hotel are not great and as I had been pre-warned about that by friends, I booked a driver via the hotel to take me there and also to the airport), but then the view at the river especially with the lights at night are very special. Also great to be able to have dinner at the main building, on the top porch so again with lovely views. I stayed in the 'Cacao house' which had big rooms with good facilities (aircon, good bathroom etc). I had a lovely massage as well which was done in the room (I would have preferred a small spa-room btw, but apparently they didn't have one available).

I absolutely loved my stay at the Holland Lodge. The staff was so kind and accommodating, it felt like a visit with family or friends. Colleagues of mine stayed at a larger chain hotel, and I was so happy that I chose to stay at the Holland Lodge. It felt as though I experienced more of the city and culture with the people here.

Great accommodation! Very clean, well equiped, and very comfortable beds. Located in a quiet street, but still close to the city center. The hosts Richard and Erwin were great! Always ready to help you with anything you needed, and always down for some fun chats. We spent our Sunday with Richard strolling along the local markets. Highly recommend!
