This is a wonderful place to stay. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with a very comfortable bed with luxury bedding. The breakfast is amazing - delicious homegrown organic food for dinner too. You are made to feel totally at home and relaxed to enjoy the main house and the gardens by the friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed feeding the donkeys carrots provided by the kitchen 🥰 We loved Rutete so much that we went back there after visiting Akagera Park to spend another night, changing our plans so that we could enjoy the relaxing ambience of the Lodge again. Everything. We arrived and were stunned by the beautiful, enormous room with amazing bathroom overlooking the lake. The terrace was a great place to spend an afternoon relaxing before going into Akagera. Would definitely recommend.
