Really lovely property with a peaceful garden filled with songbirds. The owner, François, was incredibly helpful with accessing the tea and coffee plantation tours I wanted and finding me an excellent moto driver to take me around for the day. I felt really taken care of and supported. The rest of the staff is wonderful as well.

All the staff were lovely and very helpful! Enjoyed the breakfast and the views from the rooftop are brilliant. However, our rooms had no fan or aircon despite booking.com saying they should. The hotel washed our clothes for us for free (which was very kind) but didn’t dry them presumably as they left them to dry in the rain. so we had to carry bags of wet clothes on a day of travel!

It's affordable for anyone passing by for a night or two. It is pretty much somewhere to sleep. The bed is comfortable. The staff is very patient and a great guy.
Great cosy hotel with beautiful garden full of birds. Amazing breakfast “Colibri” that could be enjoyed outside in the garden. Very friendly and helpful staff and very spacious rooms. Location was great too, close to the lake and Congo border. In a quiet calm neighbourhood. We loved our stay.
I love coming to Maddy’s Kitchen for an inexpensive stay with just what I need. Their breakfast is very nice and included in the price. Their grilled fish was excellent. They have a pleasant garden outside and the location is perfect for getting to the beach.
