We had such a lovely stay in this beautiful apartment. Marcia was a welcoming and friendly hostess who made us feel right at home. The apartment is lovely, with a comfortable bed, luxurious bathroom and well-equipped mini kitchen. The fan kept us cool even in 35 degree heat. The house is set in an olive grove with a lovely splash pool, a hammock and seating area, where it was wonderful to relax and watch the chickens wander. The peace and tranquility was wonderful. There was a generous supply of breakfast items in the fridge, and Marcia provided us with delicious scrambled eggs. Marvao castle was just a ten-minute drive, and there's a huge municipal pool at Portagem, also ten minutes away.

The house is very clean and stylish with Portuguese style. We have everything we need in the house. The beds are comfortable and the blankets are warm. We are very satisfied with it, it's just like a home.
The host is very friendly and nice. The village, Beira is lovely and quiet. It's a good choice to stay there for exploring Marvao.

Luisa welcomed us into her home as part of her family. We had a beautiful room overlooking the valley. The breakfast was magnificent with homemade jams and delicacies. The terrace was lovely in the late afternoon. There was ample parking. Thankyou Luisa

The perfect location to visit Portalegre/Castelo de Vide/Marvao.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
Location was awesome, my brother in law described it as pastoral. Facilities were all there. Very friendly host which spoke english. Very quiet at some dead-end road, close to Marvao castle, which is worth a trip.
The owner bought a little bag of goodies every morning.
It was a really beautiful and outstanding experience, the owners are super friendly and helpful. The Appartement is great, all brand new and very comfortable, very clean and the whole surroundings just great. We will definitely come back , and this place is absolutely recommendable. Five stars for really everything, thank you so much Marcia and Peter, we’ll be back in your paradise you’ve created!
Fabulous place for those looking for an immersion in nature and tranquillity. Although it is in a remote location, the accommodation facilities are of high quality, so we can find comfort.
Also worth mentioning is (i) the quality of the wi-fi in the room, (ii) the swimming pool (which is an important asset for the stay during the traditional hot days of Marvão) and (iii) the possibility of observing the stars in the sky as we rarely get to see in the city.
