This property is cozy and comfortable nestled in the center of this charming boulder filled wonder of a village. The property is a quick walk up to the castle and a fascinating stroll through the boulder laden streets. Eloiza is an amazing host. She met us at the town square and delivered our luggage to the property, a two minute ride and a five minute walk. It was raining when we arrived and she brought us delicious vegetable soup, home made cookies and delicious full bodied wine from the Monsanto region. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Eloiza gave us excellent suggestions regarding other places to explore in the area.

This is the most amazing little property, with gorgeous grounds filled with olive and citrus trees, charming stone buildings and so very quiet, peaceful and tranquil! The properties caretakers were awesome- so very friendly with great suggestions for walks, places to have dinner, and local information. Especially cute little welcoming committee of the properties several cats and dogs was very much appreciated. We unfortunately had an early departure the next day but were provided with a lovely little breakfast pack. Highly recommended, and would love to stay here again!

We really loved this gorgeous 15th Century house. We knew it would be different when we booked, so we arrived without any expectations whatsoever but it was great. The location is wonderful with a great uninterrupted view of the valley to ponder whilst enjoying a wonderful breakfast prepared by Eloiza. Our hosts Fernando and Eloiza were totally 100% AMAZING! Nothing was too much trouble for them, even meeting us and guiding us through the narrow streets with our car to reach our final destination. The house itself is well appointed but go with an open mind and a willingness to embrace this gorgeous house, as it will be nothing like any other house you have experienced - but all in a good way of course! The Old House is in a great location, not too far from a couple of local restaurants and only 300 metres to the Monsanto Castle. But be prepared for an uphill climb but it is well worth it, especially if you do it at sunrise as we did; such an awesome view. Totally loved the Old House. We are extremely grateful to Fernando and Eloiza for making our stay so memorable. They truly are wonderful ambassadors for Monsanto.

one of the best places in Monsanto. was a bit difficult getting my luggage from the car park to the house, but is the same in ALL places in Monsanto. but take into consideration of not so easy streets to handle. owner didn't know a lot of english but trued her best in helping on everything. good location in village center and great views

The apartment is clean and has all you need. There are two bathrooms, one is upstairs next to the bedrooms and the second is downstairs in the living room. It is located in the outskirts of Relva and Monsanto village can be reached even by foot if the weather conditions allow so. There is short road 1.7 km long starts directly from the house and leads to the backyard of Monsanto. There is wonderful view from the house. Communication with the host via booking was good. Nice neighbors that helped us with the parking.

This is a wonderful place to stay. A little out of the way, but not hard to find, and close to Monsanto. During our stay, the oranges were ripe - and delicious. The breakfast was excellent, and Ingrid was very helpful. I'd love to return.

Everything was so clean and very traditional chic. Loved the way they took a ruin and incorporated into a lodge. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel once it’s warmer to use the pool.
