I'm always amazed by the Portuguese hospitality, but what I experienced in Casa das Freiras, is beyond anything. The hosts, the place, the breakfast were all incredible. There is no short review that could describe it. <3

The manager arranged an excellent evening meal with a local person when I asked about restaurants (there are none)

Our host, Mónica, was super welcoming and warm. Everyday Mónica left us some home grown fruit or home made cake, which was lovely. Great location for visiting the ancient rock carvings of Côa and the historical walled villages.
We would happily stay there again!
