Alqueiturismo - Casas de Campo, hotel in Faia

Boasting pool with a view and views of mountain, Alqueiturismo - Casas de Campo is a holiday park set in a historic building in Guarda, 12 km from Guarda Cathedral.

Overall, our stay at this hotel was good, with clean facilities and friendly staff. However, there were a few drawbacks that impacted our experience. Firstly, the price was a bit overpriced considering the location. The hotel is quite remote and far from any supermarket, which made it inconvenient for getting supplies. Additionally, our experience at the pool was less than ideal. Some other customers were very loud and disruptive, making it difficult to enjoy the pool area. The pool itself is not very large, so the noise and crowding significantly detracted from the comfort of the experience. Despite these issues, we still had a pleasant stay thanks to the hotel's overall quality and the attentive staff.

Casa Cruz, hotel in Faia

Featuring city views, Casa Cruz provides accommodation with a shared lounge and a balcony, around 49 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela.

Trinta is a quiet little town, ideally located to visit the Serra da Estela area. Casa Cruz is an excellent choice, a stylish combination of a heritage house with modern remodeling. Equiped with everything, comforable furniture (not always found in &B), extremely clean, with a lovely large outside terrace to enjoy the views.

Quinta da Alqueidosa - Casa de Campo, hotel in Faia

Located in Corujeira, in a historic building, 12 km from Guarda Cathedral, Quinta da Alqueidosa - Casa de Campo is a recently renovated holiday home with pool with a view and fitness centre.

The location is perfect. In the middle of a small valley, far from towns and villages. It is quiet, relaxing, comfortable, very well kept. The whole precinct is very nice, with pool, sheep grazing below, and cats playing around. The room has all amenities, well equipped kitchen, well furnished. The bathroom is nice and spotless. The fireplace is very pleasant, specially on a cold rainy day. I reached the place walking, it's a 10 km easy walk, no problem unless one has mobility issues. Two kilometers uphill the quinta is village Trinta which has bakery, pharmacy, and a small village shop with the sweetest granny that has ever sold cheese to You. Overall, the area feels very authentic, I very much enjoyed walking through the countryside and the villages.

Hotel Santos, hotel in Faia

Located in the historical centre of Guarda, this hotel is 150 metres from the city’s cathedral. The green areas of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park are a 10-minute drive from the Hotel Santos.

There is a free parking lot in front of the hotel, the staff didn't speak English but was nice. The room was nothing special but clean and the beads comfortable. The hotel is very central to the historical city center, but if you come by car, be prepared to drive up some steap streets.

This is an off the beaten path location that offers all comfort of the modern life in a rural setting. The hosts are very friendly and make all efforts to provide a comfortable stay. Also, they are trying to run the place based on sustainability and environmentally friendly principles. The food is mainly based on locally sourced products, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables from their garden. Great and nutritious breakfast - including cold cuts, local products, fresh smoothies, fruits and vegetables from the garden.
