Wonderfully authentic Japanese ryokan in an unexpected location. Spotlessly clean and comfortable in a minimalist Japanese aesthetic. Japanese breakfast worth the money, if you like Japanese breakfasts. Staff very kind and helpful.

Gorgeous property! The views are simply incredible and you get to wake up to birds singing. We stayed at the Marco house and it was very comfortable. D. Zilda was always willing to help, and the town of Penalva do Castelo was just a dream. Check out restaurants Recordo and Pizzeria da Lameira—great food!

Fantastic pool, friendly helpful owner, clean, cherry, lemon and orange trees, nice cot for baby, secure location with electric gates. plenty of chairs outside, washing machine and nice big space. The villa was better than in the pictures. There is a big climbing frame, swing slide set in the garden, which is great. viseu is about 20 mins in the car, which is a nice trip out.
