put of the way location way up in the hills. The owners have paid great attention to detail and provided everything we could possibly need. Plenty of comforts, blankets, nice towels, kitchen very well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble, they are so keen to ensure total satisfaction. There were loads of logs and hot water. What’s not to like?

Wonderful owners! Very comfortable stay, after the mountain walk. The beds were great; everything was clean and cozy, we enjoyed a cute garden with visiting cats. The house was larger than I expected. The kitchen was also larger than expected and well equipped, suitable for cooking for a family, if you are inclined. The owners produce honey from mountain flowers. We've got heather honey- mmm- delicious

this is the kind of place you will never forget. Dinis met us at the car park and walked us to the house. He had a fire going for us and walked us around the place. We felt completely cared for here as we had just arrived that day and just need time to rest. This was the perfect place and just what we needed. The love that was put into this space can felt felt and it was enchanting.

Glorious location! The terrace is fabulous, the rooms are comfortable and the view is just wonderful. I slept like a log - perfect firm bed. The house is absolutely central but the rooms are pretty quiet.

Perfect stay at a once in a lifetime location even during off-season. The house was fully furnished and equipped (bedroom, bathroom,patio), fully stacked kitchen with all kitchen supplies (coffee, dishes, oil, salt, spices etc.) even for cooking lovely dinner for our friend group. The premise has excellent view of the valley. Perfect for a day hike and explore the village in the evening. Would love to return in the future!

Every aspect of our visit met or exceeded our expectations. The area was magical and so peaceful and the host Joao and his assistant Alda went above and beyond to help us after I came down with a bad head cold during our stay.
