We were Self Catering but the complimentary eggs from the owners free range chickens were very much appreciated. We were invited to join them for a typical Portuguese meal on two occasions. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The location was beautiful and at night you could hear nothing except the frogs in the pond. If you a looking for solitude to enjoy the sun and a pool then this is the place.

Paula and her dogs are lovely hosts. The guesthouse is very charming, due to it's unique decoration. The guesthouse was very clean, the kitchen well equipped and the little terrace offered a great view of the surrounding landscape.

The room is pretty, with nice towels in the bathroom and soft mattress. Beautifully decorated building. And shared kitchen was really good and convenient, as there are no glasses or coffee machine at the room.

It’s recently refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms are well equipped and laid out given the space constraints of an old town building. The new modern bathroom fittings and bedroom furniture and linen etc are all to a very high standard. It’s very accessible in the centre of town adjacent to the Mercado. The sound proof windows are excellent. Given there is a bar and cafe at ground level and I retire early I hardly heard any noise and certainly nothing to disturb my sleeping. The owner and staff were very accommodating and helpful. I very much look forward to my next visit and hope they are not fully booked !!
