Maybe beware if you are a light sleeper: You can clearly hear the dogs and roosters in the neighbourhood. But I could sleep very well listening to the waves.

We had a great stay at Tema’e Beach House and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxed accommodation with the opportunity to meet wonderful people from around the world. The owner, Nick, was always helpful and offered great suggestions and tips for our time in Moorea.
The shared bathroom and kitchen with other guests were always incredibly clean, and everyone was respectful of the communal spaces. The location is ideal, with Tema’e Beach just a short walk away. However, I would also recommend renting a car to explore the island fully (I suggest Coco Rider for great prices on electric cars).
There are also several additional services available at the house for a very reasonable cost, including laundry, snorkeling equipment rental, and transfers to and from the ferry terminal.

We loved everything about this hotel - the accommodation which was spacious and beautifully decorated in light modern decor. We had a big bedroom and a lounge area with kitchenette too. There were USB sockets each side of the bed which was very helpful. We had a big terrace with a good quality table and four chairs and two sunbeds. Our view was to the pool and the ocean beyond looking through palm trees. It was perfect and everything we hoped for.
The staff could not have been more helpful and all spoke great English. They helped us with travel tips and to book our evening at the Tiki Village for which we were so very grateful. The restaurant area is very nice and we enjoyed cocktails looking onto the beach at sunset and a lovely meal afterwards. There was plenty of parking for our rental car. There's a great supermarket called Super U just 2/3km away with stalls next to it selling local fruit and vegetables,
The beach area was perfect - wooden double bedframes with shade over the top, comfortable mattresses and pillows as well as lots of beanbags and side tables. We were never stuck for a place to sit and a waiter came round at 5pm one night to tell us it was Happy Hour and serve cocktails. We went snorkelling off the beach every day and saw amazing fish as well as swimming with a turtle and having five foot shark casually swim past us. It was amazing.

The house is really lovely. Really nicely designed and spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is a real highlight. Kitchen has all you need and the living space is “indoor/outdoor” which is great. Free filtered water on tap. Great fire/bbq outside. A big inflatable pool which takes up the whole garden unfortunately but good if you have kids I guess.

Loved the warm welcome, the well-equipped bungalow, the outside lounging/dining/bbq area, the long wild beach and most of all the sound of the wind in the ironwood trees and coconut palms. Convenient as well for shops and restaurants.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
The location on and over the water was spectacular - as we expected. Having a private swimming/snorkelling area at the 'door' of the property, with coral and marine life easily visible was a wonderful bonus. The food, both breakfasts and dinners were high quality always. The staff were always friendly, co-operative, helpful, positive and genuinely interested in providing top quality service. Perfect location for snorkeling and relaxing. It never felt crowded. Coral reef is the best on the island and footsteps from your room. Breakfast was to a very high standard. Excellent croissants and jams. Friendly and helpful staff. I wish I could have stayed longer than two nights.

The resort has amazing location. It is very clean. We were greeted by Jade who was very professional and polite. We stayed in the overwater villa with amazing sunset view. Easy to take a morning swim or snorkle. The resort has very good facilities: paddle boards and kayaks. Dinah from concierge helped us with our dinner bookings and renting bikes. The resort has amazing breakfast! Would recommend it and definitely will go back there!
