We had an excellent stay at Nomadic Desert Camp in December. The hosts are very welcoming and it is such a great experience to spend one night in the desert. We did a sunset camel ride and sunrise 4x4 safari and both were amazing! The huts are nice and comfortable, shared toilets & shower clean, and the food was excellent. The whole camp is set up in a lovely way - keeping in touch with the nature.

Choosing a place to stay in the desert can be overwhelming as there are just so many options. We chose Hamood’s desert camp after hours of research, and simply put, we can’t imagine staying anywhere else. From the minute we met Hamood at the meeting point, he truly made us feel like part of his family. He is a natural host: extremely welcoming, funny, and kind. We stayed two nights (highly recommend) in this beautiful camp. There are only four total tents in the camp, as compared to some of the larger camps with dozens and dozens. The smaller camp made it so much more of an intimate experience. The food was homemade and delicious. Hamood built a campfire each night after dinner and we sat under the stars, enjoying the company and learning about Omani culture. All in all, if you are visiting the desert you must stay here! You won’t be disappointed.

amazing experience in the beautiful sand dunes of the dessert - we wanted authentic dessert experience and stayed at the camp’s “mini lodge” - a couple of tents with a nice lounge area and facilities. The company couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating - they set up a third tent for us, from the welcoming reception in Badiyah, the friendly manager and amazing Farhad and Farouk who took care of our group of 7 for two days - everything was great. the luxury of this mini camp is in its remoteness and exclusivity of only a couple of tents, the staff only cater for you and the food they manage to prepare in the desert is delicious! extremely impressive. We did also some camel riding at sun set - the whole group loved it. beautiful paysages. As we visited end of April/beginning of May, it was very hot - unusually hot also apparently for this time, but we wanted exactly this kind of unique dessert experience. I would highly recommend the company and team.

Wonderful and caring host and attentive staff. Our meals were delicious and fresh. Camp is next to a very large dune, fantastic to hike up for sunrise and sunset views, absolutely stunning. Peaceful, comfortable, and quiet surroundings, perfect for sleeping. The stargazing was really incredible.

The property was very clean and the caretaker (Mr. Sajjad) was very helpful. The property is about 200 meters away from the sand dunes. The views from the property during the morning and night are equally spectacular. There is a road for cars that are NOT 4x4 to reach the property as well. However, it’s best to contact the owner for guidance. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The surroundings are clean. The owner was very friendly and polite. We loved our stay!

Saïd is really a nice person. He is here to please you, without forcing you for anything.. He will do everything to make your stay enjoyable and will give you very good pieces of advice. I slept outside, on a mastress, under the stars, alone in the camp, in September 2022. That was one of the best experiences of my life! The sunrise on top of the highest dune, next to SandGlass Camp, was beautiful. Amazing! I recommend to live this, once in your life, at an affordable price in SandGlass Camp.
