The hotel is near to the lake, but tucked away 100 meters in a small side street, and so much quieter than the busy main road. The owners are really friendly and helpful, it feels like being part of the family. You can see the mountains and the lake from the balcony. I stayed there for five days, and was very happy :))

If you’re coming back from a long hike in Nepal, this is the place to be. It’s impressive how all the staff feels very connected to the place and does everything to make you feel at home. You can find everywhere photos/ books about the story of Mingtang and how it all started. The garden is gorgeous and it’s quite silent, considering it’s in the city center of Pokhara. The owner is easily available and she can help you with everything, booking bus tickets, planning your day and suggesting restaurants. They make breakfast boxes in case you’re leaving early in the morning!

Location was a perfect base for exploring Begnas lake - great starting point for walks and walking distance to loads of local restaurants. Room was comfy, nice hot water, great views from the terraces outside the rooms and easy to check in and lovely staff. We had a great stay here.
