Pros:
Warm, welcoming, family-run setting makes it feel like home, perfect for those wanting to live the true local experience.
Simple yet clean facilities, complete with hot water, Wi-Fi, and a fan—especially appreciated for a basic, rural accommodation.
Flexibility in payment with international transfers to a Nepalese account, ideal if you use digital banking like Revolut or Wise (avoids the hassle of relying on ATMs).
For around $115 USD, you get two nights’ stay, local meals, a couple of beers, and three diverse safari experiences (a walking safari, a sunset river trip, and a private jeep safari, which can be cheaper if shared).
Limited activities besides safaris, so to make the most of it, you’ll likely want to book 2-3 safaris per day.
Featuring river views, Jagatpur Lodge in Khargauli features accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

Our two nights at Sanctuary were an exceptional experience, the facilities are even better in person, staff are highly accommodating and the food is great with lots of options available. Our guide for the activities was knowledgeable and engaging, and we were even upgraded to a villa on arrival (which was enormous!)
Also, transport to and from the hotel was easy to arrange at late notice if needed.
